The book is a look into my life as an African American single mother that has gone through tremendous obstacles. Join me on my healing journey as I share about overcoming domestic violence in my youth via my mother's experiences and my own struggles with abuse, depression, health, and abandonment. My book shares how I went from being abused to becoming an abuser to my own life and finding my way out of the vicious generational trauma cycle of abuse. The book gives an intimate detailed story about my life as a second -generation single mother. I am the product of a broken home due to the penal system which incarcerated my father for over forty years.
